Film, Dance and Children's Laughter: Potsdam is in Motion
Short films, big stories and plenty of joy in movement: At “In Motion”, children aged 4 and up will experience a special family event in Potsdam, connecting KidsShortFilmCinema with dance and active participation. On December 18, 2026, a child-friendly space for wonder, discovery and movement will open from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Short Films with Big Ideas
Short films tell stories in a condensed, creative and surprising way. Different images, characters and situations invite children to look closely, develop their own thoughts and discover the variety of cinematic forms of storytelling. This creates an age-appropriate learning experience that stimulates imagination, perception and conversation.
When Images Come Alive
In between, it's not just about watching: children move, dance and explore what movement can achieve. The transition between film and active experience engages the body, senses and imagination. Children are encouraged to be curious, pick up impulses and discover their own movement possibilities.
Quality Time Together with Educational Value
The program is aimed at children aged 4 and up and combines cultural education with playful movement. Cinematic impressions are immediately translated into physical experiences. This creates fun learning with all the senses: children experience rhythm, space, expression and community. The event is part of the Short Film Days under the motto “In Motion” and the mobile play series “Theatralla” by ALLE STERNE e.V.
A Child-Friendly Morning in Potsdam
The KidsShortFilmCinema meets Dance takes place at the Kita Tausendfüßler Potsdam. The event is specifically designed for young viewers and invites partner kindergartens from Potsdam. A protected framework is created for families and educational companions, where children can experience culture, express themselves and be active together.
Conclusion: A Family Experience Full of Movement
“In Motion” lights up children's eyes and connects the magic of short films with the joy of dancing. Families and educational companions can expect a varied hour full of children's laughter, curiosity and shared time. For those who want to experience film not only visually but also with their own bodies, this is a special cultural offering for children aged 4 and up.
