New Zealand on a large screen: A journey to the most beautiful end of the world

On March 9, 2027, the Urania Association Potsdam invites you to an impressive multivision show about New Zealand. The Berlin photographer and travel reporter Roland Marske takes the audience into a world of volcanic forces, deep fjords, primordial rainforests, and a unique wildlife.

Between Volcanoes, Rainforests, and Fjords

The photographic journey unfolds the contrasting geography of Aotearoa, the land of the long white cloud. On the North Island, geothermal active regions, steaming springs, volcanoes, and lush giant ferns shape the imagery. The South Island opens the view to alpine mountain ranges and a spectacular fjord coast, whose spatial effect is reminiscent of the landscapes of Norway.

An Aesthetic Experience with Nature and History

The multivision show combines large-format photography, music, and personal comments into an intense art experience. The projection on a screen of up to 60 square meters allows light, color, form, and landscape to appear in compelling closeness. This creates an exhibition atmosphere where the viewing of works becomes an imaginative journey.

New Zealand's Unique Cultural History

Alongside nature, the event brings to the forefront the history of the islands. New Zealand's long isolation produced a distinctive flora and fauna. The journey simultaneously leads into the history of Polynesian settlement by the Māori and the cultural influences of the present country.

Roland Marske and the JULES-VERNE Team

Roland Marske works as a photographer and travel reporter as part of the JULES-VERNE team. Months-long travels, extensive research, and numerous conversations form the basis of the multivision productions. The combination of photography, music, and live commentary conveys cultural education as well as immediate aesthetic experience.

Conclusion: Experience New Zealand Intensively

The multivision show promises an atmosphere-rich evening of nature photography, travel journalism, and artistic projection. Those who want to experience New Zealand's landscapes, wildlife, and culture up close will find a visual art experience with great narrative power at the Urania Association.
