Opening Hours, Reservations, and Payment Options
Another important search block is the opening hours, as a reliable timeframe often determines the visit, especially for restaurants in the center. The current industry entries state that Thai Restaurant LemonGras Potsdam is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00; Monday and Tuesday are rest days. This is very pleasant for planning because lunch, late lunch, and dinner can be easily integrated into the same weekly rhythm. Location in the Dutch Quarter and Parking
The location is one of the great advantages of Thai Restaurant LemonGras Potsdam. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Dutch Quarter, one of the most well-known and atmospherically strong areas of the city. Those looking for a Thai restaurant in Potsdam with a special environment will find here not only good food but also a quarter with a clear historical identity, small paths, and a setting that is very suitable for a stroll before or after the meal. Tourism and regional portals emphasize this character: the restaurant is located in a quarter associated with charm, proximity to the city, and pleasant foot traffic, and in summer, you can even enjoy the dishes outside in front of the house. This is important for inquiries about address, location, and photos because the location itself becomes part of the experience and does not just serve as a pure travel indication. ([potsdamtourismus.de](https://www.potsdamtourismus.de/gastro/thai-restaurant-lemongras-potsdam))
Regarding access and parking, the information is also relatively clear. The tourism site refers to arriving by car as well as by public transport, and review portals mention street parking as an available option. This makes the restaurant suitable for different types of visitors: for guests coming on foot from the city center, for visitors arriving by bus or train, and for drivers looking for a spot on the street nearby. Especially for restaurants in central old town locations, this combination of accessibility and city location is valuable because it lowers the barrier for a spontaneous visit. However, those coming with several people should still plan some time for parking, especially during typical evening and weekend hours. Overall, LemonGras is not only a culinary address but also a logistical one that makes the visit as uncomplicated as possible. ([potsdamtourismus.de](https://www.potsdamtourismus.de/gastro/thai-restaurant-lemongras-potsdam))
Vegetarian, Vegan, and Homemade Thai Cuisine
For many inquiries regarding Thai restaurants in Potsdam, not only the taste is in the foreground, but also the question of vegetarian and vegan options. Here, LemonGras clearly stands out, as the tourism site speaks of a large selection of genuine vegetarian and vegan dishes. The menu also features tofu variants, vegetable dishes, Massaman curry with vegetables and peanuts, fried tofu, various salads, and several dishes that can be flexibly combined with meat, fish, or tofu. This is an important plus because the kitchen can thus appeal to groups with different dietary preferences without anyone having to resort to a completely separate concept. Additionally, the description as homemade Thai cuisine emphasizes authenticity and freshness. According to the menu PDF, it is also emphasized that no flavor enhancers are used, which many guests appreciate when searching for honest, not overly seasoned restaurant cuisine. ([potsdamtourismus.de](https://www.potsdamtourismus.de/gastro/thai-restaurant-lemongras-potsdam))
Those who look closer will see that the kitchen is not only broad but also consciously structured. There are classics with chicken, duck, beef, shrimp, and seafood, but also clear vegetarian and vegan lines. This mix makes the restaurant suitable for different occasions: a quick lunch, dinner for two, a visit with friends, or a meal with colleagues where not everyone shares the same preferences. The menu also mentions specials, rice noodle dishes, fried rice, curries, and soups, making the restaurant suitable for people who orient themselves towards well-known Thai classics as well as for guests who prefer certain ingredients. In summary, LemonGras thus appears to be a place where one can plan to eat well without sacrificing variety, consistency, and a clear culinary signature. Ambiance, Photos, and Guest Feedback
For those looking for photos or a first visual impression, LemonGras provides a very clear picture: the tourism site describes the dining area as very cozy and stylishly decorated, with selected objects on bright walls and dark wood reminiscent of traditional Thai interiors. This mix of bright space, deliberately set decorative elements, and warm wooden furniture is often the reason why guests think of not only the food but also the atmosphere when considering a location. Especially in a quarter like the Dutch Quarter, the ambiance plays a significant role because the restaurant does not appear isolated but fits into a stroll through the historic surroundings. Therefore, for the search for photos, it is important: the images and descriptions do not convey a loud fine dining image but rather a calm, warm, and personal hospitality. In summer, the outdoor area in front of the house adds to this, further enhancing the impression of a relaxed city restaurant. ([potsdamtourismus.de](https://www.potsdamtourismus.de/gastro/thai-restaurant-lemongras-potsdam))
In guest feedback and directory entries, the combination of cozy atmosphere, family-friendly character, table service, and takeout stands out. TripAdvisor also lists outdoor seating, street parking, reservations, serving alcohol, and takeout as features, while Yellow Pages summarizes the service as a gastronomy with a cozy atmosphere. For inquiries such as reviews or photos, this is interesting because it is not just about stars or numbers, but about the overall picture of a location. LemonGras appears on these portals as a restaurant that is perceived as solid, warm, and reliable, and does not rely on effects. So, if you're looking for a Thai restaurant in Potsdam that operates more on atmosphere than on show, you'll find a consistent profile here. This is also supported by the recurring mention of traditional Thai cuisine, which enhances the impression of a restaurant that defines its identity through food, space, and everyday usability. ([tripadvisor.com](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187330-d1848981-Reviews-Thai_Restaurant_LemonGras_Potsdam-Potsdam_Brandenburg.html?utm_source=openai))
Awards, Takeout, and Small Celebrations
Another strong search aspect is awards and special features. The menu PDF mentions Thai Select 2019 and 2020, as well as Brandenburg Hospitality 2019, 2020, and 2021 for Thai Restaurant LemonGras Potsdam. Together with the description of the authentic Thai cuisine, this creates the image of a restaurant that is not only locally known but has also been officially recognized. For many visitors, this is an important trust signal, especially when choosing between various restaurants in a city with multiple Asian offerings. Additionally, the tourism site also describes the restaurant as repeatedly awarded, thus supporting its high-quality positioning. So, if you're looking for a Thai address with tradition and recognition, you'll find here more than just a pretty menu. The restaurant is a fixed part of the Potsdam gastronomic landscape, relying on expertise, recognition, and a stable kitchen. ([weur-cdn.speisekarte.menu](https://weur-cdn.speisekarte.menu/storage/media/companies_menu_pdf/116590434/lemon-grass-potsdam-speisekarte.pdf))
It is also practical to note that the restaurant can host events for up to 35 people. This makes LemonGras interesting for small celebrations, family evenings, birthdays, or professional meetings where a manageable but personal environment is required. The menu and entries also mention takeout, and the restaurant description even speaks of special requests for family celebrations, anniversaries, as well as fruit and vegetable carvings for events. This makes it clear: LemonGras is not only a place to eat on-site but also an address with event and takeout functionality. For guests, this is a plus because they can choose between spontaneous visits, planned meals, and small celebrations without having to change locations. So, if you're searching not only for a menu and opening hours but also for catering-like options, takeout, and a suitable setting for groups, you'll find here an surprisingly versatile solution in the heart of Potsdam.
UPDATE: (Finally had dinner too. Same warm high quality service as lunch. Prices of course a bit higher due to lunch menu but the portions are not drastically bigger. Which is great news for the lunch menu. Everything was delicious again.) My rating only for the lunch menu: It is probably one of the most tasty fried rice with chicken. Of course the amount of chicken is quite less, and the visual looks not so appealing but the taste... So yummy. And the staff, everyone with full smiles and warm. Decoration is as well cozy and a personal favorite, and old school heater heating up the place just like my family used while I was growing up. I deducted 1 star just because both delicious soup and food was a bit salty for my taste (and this is my 4th time).

It’s a Thai restaurant in the Dutch quarter in a German city 😁 Good location, Thai staff could be more smiling. The food is delicious, the portions are big. The prices are not low. There is a good draft beer 🍺 There is no option to pay with credit card.

This was my first time in a Thai restaurant and I think it'll be very tough finding a better one. Incredibly amazing, incredibly savory with a very kind service. Congrats!

Very good Thai restaurant with fantastic Pad Thai (one of the best I've ever had). They also have a kids menu (2 options) so you can go with children.

Stay away. Expensive for what you get. Small portions. We left hungry after having two entrees, three appetizers. Ingredients described on the menu never show up on the plate. Entrees are gone in a few bites. 5th worst dining experience in the past twenty years. Cash only suggests they should be reviewed by the tax office.
