SG Grün-Weiß Golm e.V. | Football & Youth Teams

SG Grün-Weiß Golm e.V. is a football club in the Potsdam district of Golm, founded on 15.11.2001 and based at the sports ground Kuhfortdamm 7. The official club presentation states football as the only department, features the club colors green and white, and clearly locates the club in Golm; the association platform FUSSBALL.DE also lists the club with 22 teams. Thus, the name SG Grün-Weiß Golm stands not only for a local sports ground but for a dense network of youth work, men's football, and senior teams that extends far beyond a single match day. Golm itself is a picturesque district of the state capital Potsdam, which stretches southwest to Zernsee and is characterized by the Science Park, the university, and a young population structure. This very mix of district identity, football tradition, and youth orientation makes the location relevant for all search queries related to sg grün weiß golm, sg golm, sports ground golm, youth football golm, and training times golm. Club Profile and History of SG Grün-Weiß Golm

The history of SG Grün-Weiß Golm can be condensed into a few but solid key data: The club was founded on 15.11.2001, is located at Kuhfortdamm 07 in 14476 Potsdam, and is organized as a non-profit sports community in the Brandenburg football association. The statutes explicitly describe the purpose of the club as promoting sports for children, youth, and adults. This is important from an SEO perspective because search queries for a club often do not only refer to a team or a playing location but to the entire club profile: Who are the responsible persons, what divisions exist, what is the organizational framework, and how is the club anchored in local sports life? Here, SG Grün-Weiß Golm provides a clear answer. It is not a multi-sport event hall but a focused football club with a strong emphasis on training, participation, and long-term commitment. The official club page names the sports facility Sportplatz Kuhfortdamm 07, and the association page additionally lists an artificial turf pitch at the same location. For searchers, it is immediately clear that the club is present at a clearly defined location with two types of pitches and builds its identity around football and youth work. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=27&id=47&option=com_content&view=article))

The district of Golm itself also fits this club logic. The city page describes Golm as a picturesque district that was incorporated into Potsdam in 2003. The old town center around Reiherberg, Geiselbergstraße, the new housing areas, and the settlement towards Zernsee shape the area, while the Science Park and university areas lie to the northwest. For a football club, this is an environment with a lot of movement: Families, students, a scientific location, residential areas, and recreational spaces interconnect. This makes the club address Kuhfortdamm 7 not just a point on the map but a social meeting place. When people search for sg grün weiß golm or sg golm, they often look not only for results but for belonging, everyday life, and local contacts. The combination of a young district, a growing environment, and a clear club structure explains why the club repeatedly appears in search engines with youth football, teams, club life, and sports ground Golm. ([golm.potsdam.de](https://golm.potsdam.de/golm))

Youth Football, Men, and Seniors at a Glance

A central reason why SG Grün-Weiß Golm is so relevant for local search queries lies in its exceptionally broad team structure. The official club presentation names A-youth, B-youth I and II, C-youth I to III, D-youth I to III, E-youth I to V, F-youth I and II, as well as G-youth. In the adult sector, Ü32, Ü40, Ü50, and Ü60 are added; the association page also lists the 1st and 2nd men's teams as well as a total of 22 teams. This breadth is remarkable for a club in the local context because it shows that Golm does not only maintain a single men's squad but operates a true training and family club. For parents, children, returnees from other places, or older players, this is a strong signal: There are opportunities for connection in nearly every age group, creating a genuine club biography from the first ball contacts to senior sports. Keywords like youth football golm, men's team golm, or seniors golm directly reflect this diversity. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=159&id=251&option=com_content&view=article&utm_source=openai))

It is particularly interesting that the club website publishes specific training and game information for individual teams. For example, the pages list training times for the D I-youth, E I-youth, the 2nd men, and the Ü60. Such detail pages are not only organizationally helpful but also a sign of clean club management: Who trains when, which team plays in which class, and who is the contact person? These are exactly the questions users ask when searching for training times golm or becoming a member. The public structure also shows that the club provides several parallel teams for youth instead of just running a single youth team. This speaks for a continuous development of talents, regular training operations, and enough members to sensibly separate age and performance levels. In practice, this means: Parents find suitable groups for children and teenagers, adults find connection in the men's or senior area, and the club can build its playing idea across different age groups over a longer period. For the SEO analysis, these topics are the strongest anchors: youth, men, seniors, training times, teams, and club operations. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=159&id=251&option=com_content&view=article&utm_source=openai))

Sports Ground Golm: Grass Pitches, Artificial Turf, and Training Times

The sporting home of SG Grün-Weiß Golm is the sports ground Kuhfortdamm 07. According to the official club page, two well-maintained grass pitches are available for play and training, and in the winter months, training moves indoors. This information is particularly relevant for visitors and members because it describes the typical use of a football facility in Brandenburg well: summer operation on the grass, winter operation indoors, thus a clear seasonal adjustment. At the same time, it becomes apparent that the club does not rely on a single playing field for its training organization but uses several areas and alternative options. For parents and players, this is a practical hint, as the quality of training and the planning of everyday life depend significantly on whether pitch capacities, weather, and indoor times match. Here, Golm shows a robust structure. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=37&id=60&option=com_content&view=article&utm_source=openai))

An important development step came in 2019: The district newspaper reported that the artificial turf pitch in the Golm area was approved for use on August 29, 2019, allowing regular training and match operations on the new artificial grass since August 30, 2019. The article also emphasizes that the new pitch provides the club with the urgently needed training areas, benefiting especially the children’s and youth teams, while men's and senior teams can also play outdoors year-round. For search intent, this is a strong signal because terms like artificial turf pitch golm, sports ground golm, and training times golm are directly associated with a real expansion of infrastructure. The club thus not only has traditional grass areas but also a modern addition that makes the match operation more weather-independent and planable. This is a decisive advantage, especially for a location with many teams and a high youth proportion. ([kultur-in-golm.de](https://www.kultur-in-golm.de/download_otz/OTZ%20Golm_2019.02.pdf))

The combination of two grass pitches, indoor alternatives, and an artificial turf pitch explains why the location is interesting for so many user groups. Children and teenagers need reliable training windows, seniors want planable games, and coaches need areas that do not break down in any weather. SG Grün-Weiß Golm can refer to a developed facility that has evolved over the years. So, if you are looking for a football place with genuine club use, you will find in Golm not an abstract event location but a functional sports facility with seasonally usable areas. For search engines, this combination of pitch offerings, artificial turf, and indoor training is particularly strong because it combines information and utility value. This makes the location attractive for players, parents, coaches, and spectators alike. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=37&id=60&option=com_content&view=article&utm_source=openai))

Become a Member, Participate, and Club Life in Golm

SG Grün-Weiß Golm visibly sees itself as a participatory club. The official website states that the club is looking for players to strengthen the first and second men's teams and particularly wants to further develop the youth area so that it can participate in regulated match operations. At the same time, it is described that work is done in the club together with other football enthusiasts, where sporting development is important, but fun should not be neglected. This formulation is strong for external presentation because it strikes a balance between performance and community. Those searching for becoming a member want to know not only if a spot is available but also if the club is open, friendly, and development-oriented. SG Grün-Weiß Golm conveys exactly this impression with its clear youth orientation and broadly based playing operations. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=37&id=60&option=com_content&view=article&utm_source=openai))

The statutes underpin this image organizationally. It is stipulated that the club promotes sports for children, youth, and adults, is apolitical, and pursues exclusively non-profit purposes. Members have the right to support from the club, can participate in events, and submit applications to the board and general assembly. So, from an SEO perspective, those writing about club life, family closeness, or local sports culture find here solid foundations instead of mere advertising language. Membership is not just a formal role but part of an active club community with rights, duties, and opportunities for participation. Especially in a district like Golm, which is characterized by education, science, and residential development, such clubs are more than just sports providers: they are social hubs. This explains why search terms like sg grün weiß golm e.v. or sports club potsdam golm evoke not only sporting but also communal expectations. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/images/M_images/pdf/satzung_04.03.2024.pdf?utm_source=openai))

For families and youth players, it is also important that the club manages numerous youth teams in parallel. The variety of junior teams shows that not only individual talents but entire age groups can be integrated. This creates reliability for parents looking for a long-term sports perspective and for children who do not want to stand on the pitch only once per season. Since the club also integrates seniors like Ü40, Ü50, and Ü60, a genuine club life across generations emerges. This is relevant for local identity: On a sports ground, children, parents, coaches, former players, and neighbors come together. The location is thus not only a playing place but a place of social exchange. For the content strategy, this means: terms like club life, youth, teams, training times, and becoming a member are not marginal topics here but belong to the core of the entire search intent. Directions to Golm, Location at Kuhfortdamm, and Local Orientation

The most important navigation information is clear: SG Grün-Weiß Golm e.V. is located at Kuhfortdamm 7 in 14476 Potsdam-Golm. This locates the facility in the district of Golm, which, according to the city page, stretches southwest of Potsdam to Zernsee and borders several other districts. Those visiting the location benefit from the fact that the address is clearly recorded in both the official club presentation and the statutes. For access by car, bicycle, or public transport, this clear address logic is the central anchor because sports facilities in developed districts often have multiple access routes, side paths, or neighboring facilities. The destination should therefore be entered as precisely as Kuhfortdamm 7 in Potsdam-Golm. ([gruen-weiss-golm.de](https://www.gruen-weiss-golm.de/golm/index.php?Itemid=27&id=47&option=com_content&view=article))

The parking situation provides a helpful framework in the district of Golm itself. The current framework plan for Golm mentions several large parking areas in the district and states that there is no parking space management. Specific club-owned parking spaces are not separately listed in the verified club sources, so visitors should better plan the trip using the exact address and local orientation. This is not a large event arena with a fixed parking guidance system but a developed sports facility in a district where several uses overlap. So, those searching for parking golm should connect the search with the destination Kuhfortdamm 7, the time window of training or games, and the specific route to the sports ground. This is the most realistic and safest way to prepare for the journey. ([golm.potsdam.de](https://golm.potsdam.de/system/files/document/Rahmenplan-Golm-2040-240709%2021-50%20Bericht%20%C3%9CA_LQ_1_2.pdf?utm_source=openai))

The district itself also speaks for a functional visit. Golm is described on the official city page as a picturesque district where the scientific location, university campus, residential areas, and nature intertwine. For a club visit, this means: The environment is clearly structured but not anonymous. Those traveling to a game or training move in a place with local identity and good everyday use, not in a remote outlying area. This makes the sports facility particularly attractive for spectators who want to accompany a youth game, a men's game, or a senior team. The connection between district character, sports area, and nearby neighborhood is an essential part of the Golm location. Therefore, search queries like directions kuhfortdamm, sports ground golm, and sg golm are particularly closely linked. ([golm.potsdam.de](https://golm.potsdam.de/golm))

I've been here as a referee several times. Always received and sent off friendly. All staff make a great effort. There's a large grass field and an artificial turf field. Had a lot of fun and I’d love to come back.

I was also here as a referee. The locker room for us resembles a storage room with a barely functioning shower (and only cold water). The grass field was fine and both teams were nice.
