Visited multiple times when in Berlin for the Marathon, easy to get to via metro/subway. It looks better at night when the lights are on.

Potsdam is a beautiful place and easy to reach from Berlin. A very nice square with shops and cafes. Good idea for a one-day excursion.

A traditional landmark at the entrance to Potsdam’s pedestrian zone. It’s a beautiful sight and a popular photo opportunity for both tourists and locals. Anyone nearby should not miss the chance to visit. It’s simply a must-see when staying in Potsdam.

Potsdam is a beautiful city. Lots of great shops and a fantastic museum for film and arts. Many Hollywood films were made here. Also German films from the 30s. It's well worth a visit; also close by are the brilliant palaces of Frederick II, the Prussian king from the 1750s. As Potsdam was in the east of Old Germany, you'll see the Russian influence as well.

Lots of people and traffic. May be challenging to get a good picture. Worth seeing as it is seen in so many historic photos.
