Advent Singing at the French Church Potsdam
When the Advent season casts its special calm over Potsdam, the Advent singing at the French Church invites you to a communal experience of faith. On December 2, 2026, well-known Advent songs, shared music, and reflective moments come together for a festive evening in the historic church setting.
Sing together, pause and listen
The focus is on singing together and the joy of music. Visitors are invited to actively join in singing or to listen to the songs in silent attention. This creates an open spiritual community where Advent becomes an experience of expectation, hope, and connection.
Reflective atmosphere in the historic church setting
The French Church shapes the atmosphere of the evening with its simple interior design and oval architecture. The church originates from the French Reformed community of Potsdam, which was established after the acceptance of French religious refugees in Prussia. The history of this place gives the Advent singing a special confessional and cultural framework.
Advent as a time of solidarity
The musical gathering also focuses on the work for cancer patients and their families. The event raises awareness of the importance of solidarity and supports a community where people can experience companionship and closeness even in difficult life situations.
