A Sunday Full of Stories, Thrills, and Library Magic

The City and State Library of Potsdam invites you on Sunday, November 29, 2026, to the Cultural Showcase. The focus is on the mystery detective series Eliza Storm: Uncanny Cases with Corinna Rindlisbacher at 2 PM. This fantastic reading combines horror, humor, and detective suspense into a literary experience for young visitors aged twelve and up.

When Rational Explanations Reach Their Limits

Eliza Storm relies on logic and seeks a reasonable explanation for every puzzle. But when an old lady disappears and the mysterious Lilo appears with her talking crows Kracks and Krawacks, the self-proclaimed detective finds herself in a world full of inexplicable events. An invisible gargoyle also plays a central role in this imaginative case.

Mystery, Humor, and Linguistic Fantasy

The reading leads into a genre that combines suspense with fantastic motifs and comedic ideas. The story thrives on the contrast between Eliza’s sober powers of observation and a world where talking crows, vanished figures, and invisible beings appear quite naturally. This creates a lively narrative that invites young literature enthusiasts to think along and empathize.

Literature as a Meeting Space for Families

The cultural showcase makes the library an open place for education, reading promotion, and cultural encounters. Every Sunday, the City and State Library of Potsdam opens its doors, connecting media, stories, and cultural programs. In addition to the reading, visitors can use the library for reading, staying, and discovering.

The audience can expect a humorous mystery reading with fantastic characters, surprising twists, and an atmosphere between library tranquility and goosebumps. Those who love stories about puzzles, friendship, and the unusual will experience an inspiring Sunday afternoon with Eliza Storm: Uncanny Cases. Admission is free.
