From Form to Drawing: Creative Workshop with Luca Knoblich

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the City and State Library of Potsdam transforms into an open art space for young ideas. At the Cultural Showcase, Luca Knoblich invites participants to re-evaluate everyday objects with imagination and develop surprising illustrations from them.

When the Stapler Becomes a Spaceship

The focus of the workshop is the creative transformation of familiar items. A stapler can turn into a spaceship, a pencil case into a hungry monster. Participants will playfully explore how independent image ideas grow from forms, lines, and free associations.

Drawing, Experimenting, Discovering Personal Visual Worlds

The workshop teaches various methods to start drawing without a predetermined subject. Luca Knoblich provides support as well as practical tips and tricks from his experience as a designer and artist. Thus, the event combines design craftsmanship with imagination, observational skills, and individual artistic expression.

Materials for Creative Minds

Drawing materials will be available on-site. Those who have their favorite pens or tools can bring them and include them in their personal design. This creates an open, inspiring reading and cultural atmosphere where the creative process counts more than the perfect result.

Free Admission at the Cultural Showcase

The Cultural Showcase at the City and State Library of Potsdam offers a free cultural program for families and young visitors on Sundays. The event is organized in cooperation with KulturMachtPotsdam.

Conclusion: Visitors can expect an idea-rich drawing workshop with unusual perspectives on everyday objects. Anyone interested in illustration, imagination, and a shared creative experience should experience this afternoon live at the library.
