Programming with Ozobot Robots Becomes an Adventure
Small robots, big ideas: In the workshop Media Creators – We Program Ozobot Robots, children in Potsdam playfully discover the world of programming. Using colors, lines, and clever codes, they set Ozobots in motion and experience exciting robot adventures that stem from their own ideas.
Colors Become Commands
The focus is on the small Ozobot robots. The children learn how colored lines and simple codes determine the path of the robots. This leads to the creation of creative courses, tricky mazes, and varied tasks where curiosity, logical thinking, and imagination come together.
Age-Appropriate Learning Fun Without Prerequisites
The workshop is aimed at children aged 8 to 12 years. No prior knowledge is required. The child-friendly introduction makes initial programming experiences understandable and tangible: Children experiment, observe their robots' reactions, and improve their solutions step by step.
Collaborative Experimentation and Wonder
When the Ozobot finds its own way, special moments of success and children's laughter arise. The joint development of courses fosters creativity, concentration, and an active learning experience. Thus, this family experience connects digital media with practical trials and shared time in the library.
A Free Family Experience in Potsdam
The 90-minute workshop takes place on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the City and State Library Potsdam. Participation is free of charge. Families can look forward to an exciting afternoon where programming, movement, and imaginative robot ideas converge.
Conclusion: In the Ozobot workshop, digital media become a creative playground. Children between 8 and 12 years program their own robot paths, solve tasks, and gain valuable learning experiences. Those who want to discover technology and experiment together will find a special family experience here in Potsdam.
