For the Record: When Film, Research, and Live Art Meet in Potsdam

On November 11, 2026, room 107 on Charlottenstraße in Potsdam transforms into an open space for thought and experience. The happening For the Record - Happening with Guests connects poetic short films, concert moments, performance, spoken word, and science slam into an experimental concert experience between exhibition and stage performance.

Poetic Films as Inspiration for New Thoughts

At the center are short cinematic miniatures created by students from the Babelsberg Film University Konrad Wolf. The projections open the evening to unusual perspectives on research, art, and the world of curiosity. Film becomes not a finished endpoint, but a starting point for encounter, conversation, and movement.

Live Atmosphere Between Concert and Performance

Each pair of guests shares with the audience their personal way of making observations and discoveries. The format remains deliberately open: science slam, concert, performance, and spoken word intertwine and create an immediate audience atmosphere. Instead of a rigid schedule, an evening arises that thrives on synchronization, spontaneous transitions, and the energy of shared experiences.

Art as a Fluid Thought Game

The art collective KOMBINAT combines dance and film to develop with For the Record a festival format in which the space itself becomes part of the dramaturgy. Light, projection, language, and sound form a multifaceted composition. Visitors do not experience a classic exhibition or a usual concert, but a hybrid stage performance with changing artistic impulses.

An Evening in Room 107

The happening takes place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in room 107, Charlottenstraße 107 in Potsdam. The event is part of a series with multiple dates in November 2026. General admission is 15 euros, reduced price is 10 euros. Tickets are offered by the organizer KOMBINAT.
