Christmas Mood with Voice, Heart, and Potsdam Kneipenchor
On December 2, 2026, Sans Titre in Potsdam will become the stage for a special pre-Christmas concert experience: The Potsdam Kneipenchor invites everyone to sing together. The event starts at 6:00 PM at Französische Straße 18.
Familiar Songs, New Sounds
The Potsdam Kneipenchor stands for an unconventional approach to choir singing. Since its founding in 2017, the ensemble has reinterpreted well-known songs and combines multi-voice singing with an open, sociable live atmosphere. The focus is not on musical perfectionism or classical concert distance, but on the joy of singing together.
When the Audience Becomes Part of the Choir
The special strength of the Kneipenchor lies in its direct connection to the audience. Catchy melodies, familiar refrains, and a versatile repertoire create that audience atmosphere where listeners quickly become a singing community. A Christmas singing event thrives on the interplay of stage performance, singing along, and shared anticipation.
Unconventional Choral Work with Its Own Dynamics
The choir deliberately breaks with classical notions of conducting and choir training. Many members cannot read music, and there is no classical choir leadership. Arrangements are created collaboratively, while instrumentalists carry the rhythm and tempo. This develops a lively sound between choral music, pop, folklore, and well-known songs from several decades.
Pre-Christmas Evening at Sans Titre
The concert at Sans Titre combines the warm character of a community singing evening with the rich sound of a large choir. Voices, chords, and a Christmas atmosphere come together, making the evening a musical meeting point for culture enthusiasts, concert fans, and anyone who enjoys singing together.
Those who want to experience Potsdam with full voices, shining eyes, and a strong sense of community will find the right occasion at the VOR-Christmas Singing. Mark the date and experience the Potsdam Kneipenchor live at Sans Titre.
